Editorial family photography isn't just a cool headline, it's a feeling, a fleeting moment captured and told as a story through an artist's eye. I take the moments you share and I deliver keepsakes that will make you smile each time you look back on them with love and remember the amazing bond you share with your babies.

The images that come from your family session will forever remind you that your family is a legacy and it unites you all. That's why these moments in life are so important to capture. It's a season that deserve to be looked back on as time passes with joy and laughter, remembering their little toes and tiny giggles.

STEP 01
Book
Securing your session is easy, simply go to my Booking Calendar and select your preferred date and time for your chosen session and place your $250 non-refundable booking deposit to secure your date. Your booking will also include your contract, model release form and a quick questionnaire so we can get to know each other!
STEP 02
Planning
As an added bonus to working with a fashion photographer, you will be able to take advantage of an optional virtual planning session to talk about your creative direction for the session. I will create a mood board for you to plan your outfits, movement & posing ideas and makeup and hair styling!
STEP 03
Session Time
We will meet at the studio and dive into our session by first reviewing your outfits, looking through our creative direction moodboard and and grounding to ensure everyone is feeling relaxed during the session. I will guide you with prompts to get the most natural expressions, body language and interactions. Our time together will be full of joy, laughter and fashion-forward attitude! No one session is the same so be prepared to just be yourself!
STEP 04
Delivering photos
I will go through our session and curate a fully custom gallery featuring your best images. Within 2 weeks of your session I will send you the gallery and once you’ve reviewed your images, we can schedule your Wall Art order session. Together we will create your custom heirloom keepsakes so you can see your images come to life on your walls and not just live on your hard drive.
STEP 05
Heirloom Order
& Wrap Up
1 week after you have really taken in your image gallery, we will meet up over zoom for your Wrap Up call to talk about your experience, collect feedback and perhaps even plan for your next session, because we all know kiddos grow fast!
If you placed a custom Heirloom Print order, it will arrive directly to your door within a couple weeks and will be fully matted and framed — ready for placement in your home!

Hi, my name is Dasha
Hello, my name is Dasha Denger. I am the Producer, Owner and Photographer of White Moth Studio right here in Seattle, WA.
I got my start in photography back in 2009 when I launched my boutique family & senior portrait photography business, which over the years evolved into fashion and editorial work. I spent much of my career in the Midwest (Chicago baby!) creating editorial stories until recently moving to Seattle in 2023 and starting White Moth Studio.
Launching White Moth made me discover my new path: editorial portraits for families, kids and mama's to be, catering to the modern, style-conscious Seattle families who want photographs that feel real, intimate, and intentional.
With my background in fashion and editorial photography, I bring the same creative direction, wardrobe styling, and intentional storytelling to family photography that I did when I was photographing fashion magazine editorials. Because I believe it's necessary to capture real families in a way that is honest, deeply personal, and artfully composed. I hope to create timeless keepsakes that reflect your family’s unique story.

I love to keep the vibes chill & free, because that's how I want their energy to flow so we get the most authentic moments between siblings. We never use bribing tactics that can be taken away and cause heartbreak. Instead, I guide with love and kindness, centering around feelings of inclusion and curiosity that makes your kiddos feel involved, seen and important. And that's how your photos will look so authentic and pure.

Dasha is so talented and I couldn't recommend her more highly.
She was amazing with my kids, such a great calming precense, and captured their personality in an incredibly natural way. The kids are always a little all over the place, and there's three of them, so it's not always an easy feat to get such beautiful shots of all of them (especially together.. and getting them to willingly sit together?! Not for the weak.)
The studio she uses is gorgeous and it's amazing to not have to depend on weather for an outdoor session or clean your house. It was a really smooth experience from start to finish, and we got the photos back so quickly, all of them completely gorgeous - it's going to be hard to pick which ones to frame.
She also got some gorgeous maternity photos during our session. She helped me feel really comfortable and confident and I'll treaasure those photos forever.

How do I book a photo session with you?
Simply fill out the submission form above to begin or book directly on our calendar. A $250 deposit fee is due at booking to secure your date.
How far in advance should I book?
It's best to give yourself at least 2-4 weeks of planning before heading to the studio.
Editorial Maternity Sessions usually are best booked out at least 1 month in advance while you are still 28-34 week period.
Editorial Family sessions can be booked as few as 2 weeks in advance.
Editorial Senior sessions can be booked up to 6 months in advance during your graduation year.

The approach with which I plan & design each session coupled with the shooting style & high-end retouching creates an editorial experience from start to finish. I use a wide angle lens to create that fashion-inspired look. ;)
What makes your Print Products "editorial"
Our keepsake products are editorial in style because of upscale and modern materials, custom made to order graphic design & typography that combined helps build a story through your images. Think Miranda Priestly's office from The Devil Wears Prada — Elevated and chic with a classic spin.
How long does it take to receive the final edited images?
You will receive a private online gallery within 2 weeks of your session or proofing date. All sessions will come with my favorite image chosen and retouched, ready for you to review!
How many photos will I get back?
Traditional Package will come with 50 final images.
Editorial Package will come with 75 final images.
Ultimate Package will come with 100 final images.
All images will be fully color-corrected and print ready.
How do I prepare for an editorial session with you?
Pre-planning calls along with meticulous wardrobe, lighting, background and set design storyboards are created so you feel confident about every step of your session. We create and keep extensive notes with full session details so you can always have all the information at your fingertips.

What if my kids don't want to pose?
Great, then they should be themselves! Editorial approach is simple — The less they are told to say "cheese" the more authentic and natural they feel about themselves giving me room to capture their personality fully. All sessions are gently guided but never posed.
Can I print my digitals?
Yes! All Sessions come with a print release to print up to size 11x14 in unlimited quantity. You are welcome to print out your images for personal, home use only by downloading them from your personalized gallery!
Where is your studio located?
All sessions are photographed at our studio in Lower Queen Anne, 114 W Denny Way, Seattle WA.
