I HIGHLY recommend Dasha for headshot photos! I was referred to her for headshots from a friend/colleague and then waited almost a year to reach out. This is not something I wanted to do. Not at all. However, it was way past time and I needed to get these headshots done for work. So, I reached out and, from the start, my interactions with Dasha were quite pleasant while discussing a very unpleasant task (for me). I felt supported through the entire process from the initial call to the final delivery of my headshot photos. I’m someone that doesn’t wear make-up and struggle with getting my picture taken so this process was inherently challenging for me. Dasha’s all about capturing someone’s authenticity, which is what I was after as well. I liked her immediately during our initial call. She has an ease about her that helped me tap into my own sense of ease, like “okay, she’s got this, she’s got me, she can walk me through this process that I very much don’t want to do.” The day of was a hard day for me and I arrived in a sort of dysregulated state. Without missing a beat, she met me where I was and gently walked with me through the process. She even brought a tinted moisturizer because my face was splotchy from the previous day’s facial and eyebrow wax (note to self: don’t do those on the same day the day before getting headshots done). By the end of our time together, I was actually feeling playful and having a little fun. Plus, I love the photos she captured of me! If I ever have any photography needs, Dasha will definitely be the person I call.

My experience with Dasha at White Moth Studio was incredible. I felt cared from the initial consultation and planning calls to the shoot and on to our final call and photo proofs. She took the time to really understand what I was trying to create with my headshots and creative shoot. During the shoot, she helped me with posing to get more interesting looks. She even went shopping for me and brought in accessories for additional inspiration and looks. She worked so well with the lighting and staging.
